Right now I’m a producer, reporter, photographer and social media maven at WHYY’s health and science show, The Pulse.
A bit about me: I’m originally from Detroit, Michigan, and grew up writing stories about the city. I went to the University of Michigan and double majored in Communications and Creative Writing and Literature. I helped expand the Michigan Daily’s coverage to Detroit and did arts and culture reporting on the city. For nearly two years during college I worked at the NPR affiliate, Michigan Radio, in both the web and the newsroom. After graduation, I worked as the digital news intern at NPR headquarters in Washington, D.C.
I’m really interested in telling character-driven stories about science and the environment using audio, photography, writing and social media.
